Frequently Asked Questions
Does JKG supply PSI instruments in India?
Yes. JKG BioScience supplies Photon Systems Instruments (PSI) FluorPen and FluorCam chlorophyll fluorometers, SpectraPen light meters and PlantPen reflectance meters in India, with training and support.
Which chlorophyll fluorometer should I choose?
FluorPen suits quick handheld measurements of single leaves in the lab, greenhouse or field. FluorCam images fluorescence across whole leaves or plants and supports quenching and OJIP analysis.
What does a FluorPen measure?
Parameters such as Ft, QY (Fv/Fm), the OJIP transient, NPQ and light curves. The PAR-FluorPen adds a light sensor.
Why measure light in a growth chamber?
Light intensity and spectrum drive plant growth and change as lamps age. A SpectraPen measures PAR and spectrum, so you know what your plants actually receive and can report it in publications.
What is PlantPen used for?
PlantPen measures reflectance indices such as NDVI and PRI, which indicate plant vigour, chlorophyll content and stress.
