Application Expertise in Controlled-Environment and Laboratory Research

Buying research equipment is rarely about the equipment alone. A growth chamber that cannot hold 10 °C with lights on, a walk-in room with uneven light across shelves, or an autoclave that does not suit the media volumes you run will cost months of work. Our expertise lies in matching equipment to the experiment before it is ordered.
Since 2003 our team has specified, installed and supported more than 1,000 installations. That experience covers the questions researchers ask most: what light intensity and spectrum a crop needs, how much humidity control matters, how many chambers an experimental design requires, and what a site must provide before equipment arrives.

Controlled environments

Plant Growth Chamber and Growth Room Expertise

Controlled-environment research is the core of our work. We help you define the conditions your experiment needs and choose equipment that holds them reliably.

Temperature and humidity

Ranges with lights on and off, uniformity, ramping and day–night cycles, and when humidity control is worth adding.
LED intensity, spectrum and photoperiod for crops, Arabidopsis, algae and tissue culture, including SciBrite LED lighting.
Shelf area, plant height, number of chambers and whether a walk-in room is the better option.

Model organisms

Arabidopsis, rice, wheat, tomato, algae, cyanobacteria, plant tissue culture and Drosophila.
JKG-41 and JKG-66 multi-application chambers: manufactured for JKG by Percival.
Chambers and rooms adapted to a specific experiment, building or utility constraint.
Laboratory equipment

Beyond Growth Chambers

Gravimetric, high-throughput physiological phenotyping with Plant-DiTech PlantArray, and chlorophyll fluorescence and spectral measurement with PSI instruments.
TOMY autoclaves for media, waste and glassware, TOMY centrifuges, and MRC anaerobic chambers, jars, mixers and air samplers.
UVITEC gel documentation and imaging systems for DNA, RNA and protein analysis.
MRC laboratory balances and spectrophotometers for routine and research measurements.
MRC hypoxia chambers and anaerobic systems for low-oxygen work.
Installation, preventive maintenance, AMCs, repair, spare parts and upgrades.
Our process

How We Take a Project from Requirement to Results

1

Understand the research

Organism, conditions, sample numbers, timelines and the results you need to produce.
2

Recommend equipment

Models, sizes and options that fit, with a clear explanation of the trade-offs.
3
Technical specifications, catalogues and compliance documents for your purchase file, tender or GeM bid.
4

Plan the site

Space, power, water, drainage and ventilation checked before delivery.
5
Installation, commissioning and verification against specification, followed by user training.
6
Preventive maintenance, AMCs, repair and upgrades through the equipment’s working life.
Tender and compliance documents

Catalogues and Compliance Documents

Catalogues, datasheets and certificates for purchase files and government tenders. Need a document that is not listed? Ask us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most. Can’t find what you need? Our team will help.

Yes. The choice depends on the number and size of plants, how many independent conditions you need, available space and utilities, and budget. We review these with you and recommend reach-in chambers, a walk-in room or a combination. See reach-in chambers and walk-in growth rooms.

Yes. We help institutions translate experimental needs into clear technical specifications, and we supply catalogues and compliance documents for tender and GeM submissions.

Yes. For walk-in rooms we look at the floor area, height, power, water, drainage and heat rejection, and plan the room, shelving and lighting around your plants. See customized solutions.

Yes. Installation includes hands-on training on operation, programming, routine care and alarms. Refresher training can be arranged during service visits.
