Frequently Asked Questions
What does an Arabidopsis growth chamber cost in India?
The price depends on the cabinet size, number of tiers, light level and options such as humidity or SciBrite LEDs. Tell us how many plants you grow and the conditions you need, and we will quote for the right configuration.
Should I choose the JKG-41 AR or the JKG-66 AR?
The JKG-41 AR (1.1 m³) suits most laboratories and offers one to three tiers at 400–405 µmol/m²/s. The JKG-66 AR (1.8 m³) is a two-door chamber with more shelf area, up to 2.8 m² on three tiers.
How much light do Arabidopsis chambers provide?
Between 350 and 600 µmol/m²/s at 15 cm from the lamps, depending on the model. Tiers can be dimmed to run lower light levels.
Can I grow other plants in an Arabidopsis chamber?
Yes. Arabidopsis chambers also suit other plants that grow in low light, such as tobacco, Brassica, lettuce and spinach.
Can I control humidity?
Yes, as an option: additive humidity of 40–85% at set temperatures of 15–30 °C with lights off. A demineralised water supply is needed.
Do you supply Arabidopsis growth rooms?
Yes. Walk-in Arabidopsis rooms such as the AR-89L3 are built to any size. See walk-in growth rooms.
Do you install and service Arabidopsis chambers?
Yes. JKG provides installation and commissioning, annual maintenance contracts and breakdown support.
